The Orchestra Oslofjord Kammerfilharmoni (Oslofjord Chamberphil- harmonic Orchestra)
Oslofjord Kammerfilharmoni is a new Orchestra. Based in Oslo with mem- bers from the region, who all are freelance musicians, is this orchestra, without financial support, in short time become one of the better orches- tras in the region. With flexible size, from 15 up to 50 musicians they can fit into any repertoire in short time.
It was an Idea from Bård Bosrup and Terje Boye Hansen, who met each other for the first time in 2006. The Idea was to perform and record music of the Norwegian composers, to perform on festivals in the oslofjord- region. To collect and create a group of all the great freelance musicians in and around Oslo.
Engagements with the Oscarborg opera company, Cæciliaforeningen and benefit Concert for the Catastrophe in Japan 2011, this first cd recording, is some of the Highlights in the past years.
Bård Bosrup is doing the management and is administrative leader for the Orchestra.
The artistic director is Terje Boye-Hansen.
Hans Christian Bræin, son of the composer Edvard Fliflet Bræin, is one of the finest Clarinet players in Norway.
Hans Christian Bræin was engaged for two periods as alternating solo- clarinet in Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, and ten years with the Danish Esbjerg Ensemble. He played soloclarinet in Oslo Sinfonietta and the Nor- wegian Chamber Orchestra for twenty years, and five years in ”Cikada”. For more than twenty years he has been and still is inspiring teacher and professor at the Norwegian State Academy of Music. Many of his students are to find in the professional orchestras in Norway and some of the orchestras in Europe.
As a soloist he has played with most of the Norwegian orchestras and abroad. He has also participated on many festivals.
He has a wide cd production, and the latest on SIMAX, all chamber music for clarinet written by Johannes Brahms.
